House, dated 1808 over door, extended c.1830. Squared tooled stone; Welsh
slate roof. L-plan. South elevation 2 storeys, in 2 parts. 3-bay right
section has central half-glazed 4-panel door in opening within larger round
arch which has datestone with Percy crescent in tympanum, and 4-pane sash
above; flanking bays have tripartite sashes. Stepped-and-corniced end stacks
with panelled shafts. Projecting left section is west block with 2 gabled
bays; 9-pane sashes to ground floor and 4-pane sashes above. To rear right,
long wing with various sash windows. Extruded rear porch in angle with wing,
has 6-panel door on canted face and glass roof; to right is west block with
canted corner and tall 18-pane sash stair window.

Built as factor's house for the Duke of Northumberland's estate.
