and attached walls

GV II


Pair of cottages and attached walls, late C18. Rubble with cut
dressings; stone slate roofs. 2 storeys, 4 bays. Centre bays have
boarded doors; at left a 12-pane (lower) and a 9-pane fixed casement ,
windows in right bay boarded over; all openings in stone surrounds with
narrow chamfer. Coped gables with moulded kneelers; end stacks (right
rebuilt). Flat-coped wall to left with pyramid finial at end; flat-
coped wall to right with boarded window, capped by life-size statue
of soldier in C18 dress.
