Gate piers and boundary wall to
Malvern House

GV II

Gate piers and boundary wall. 1874. Rockfaced sandstone and
ashlar, with cast-iron lamps by Turner & Allen of London. To
right, 2 square piers with chamfered corners and polychrome
band, with corner shafts to the upper stage. Elaborate
cross-gabled cap topped with a ringed lamp standard. The lamp
is missing. On each side, smaller, simpler piers to side
gates. Wall along Mapperley Road, approx 30m long, with
chamfered coping, formerly with a railing.
