2/35 Entrance gates,
piers and walls to
Raithby Hall
G.V. II
Entrance gates, piers and wall. Late C18 and c.1840. Red brick,
with ashlar and pantile copings. Sandstone ashlar. Cast iron.
Central gates with pedestrian side gates and curved flanking
walls with garden wall to right. Square rusticated gate piers
with plinths, plain cornices and ball finials. Pair of swept
cast iron gates with spear terminals, square verticals, pierced
lozenge rails. To either side matching pedestrian gates with
beyond C18 square brick piers with C19 ball finials. Garden wall
to right with ashlar coping ramps down from c.12'0" to 5'0" in
height, over a distance of approx. 50 yards.
