- Lower Shore Farmhouse

Farmhouse, now house. Mid C18 with later additions. Hammer-
dressed watershot stone with graduated stone slate and slate
roofs. 3-bay 2-storey central-entrance plan with subsequent
additions to rear and right. Projecting plinth. Door with
architrave surround and hood. Symmetrically arranged 4-light
chamfered mullion windows (all with 2 mullions removed) in
bays 1 and 3 and a blind light above the door (with 1
mullion removed). Gable chimney stacks with moulded
oversailing courses. 2 late C18 additions at rear with flat-
faced mullion windows and a C19 addition to right which has
raised quoins and C20 casement window replacements for
sashes. A datestone built into an adjoining wall reads
"RD 1622 ID".
