Village school. 1843. Jacobean style. Red brick with
sandstone dressings. Plain tile roof with stone coped shaped
gables with finials and a bellcote on the west gable. Single
storey. The south elevation has three symmetrical bays to the
right with a small central ogee gable enclosing a sunk panel
carved with coats of arms and the date 1843. Three 2-light
recessed and chamfered mullion windows. Additional bay to left
has a projecting porch with shaped gable. Chamfered stone
doorcase with four-centred arch and two shields in sunk panels
above. C20 door. Gable ends have large 4-light casement
windows under chamfered stone lintels.
