KINGSKERSWELL
NORTH WILBOROUGH
Court Farmhouse

GV
II

Farmhouse. Probably C18 remodelling of earlier house. Rendered rubble walls with
asbestos slate roof gabled to left and hipped to right. Projecting rendered rubble
stack at left gable end with brick shaft, brick stack at right-hand end and lateral
brick shaft at rear of right-hand end.
Originally likely to have been 3-room and through passage plan but interior re-
modelled in C18 and original room layout unclear. C18/C19 wing at rear of right-
hand end.
2 storeys. Asymmetrical 4-window front of circa early C19 12-pane sashes with
symmetrical 3-window section and central C20 blockwood door to left. C20 gabled
corrugated asbestos porch. Large buttress at right of centre. Wing set back from
right-hand end projects to rear.
Interior inaccessible at time of purvey but seen to contain 2 C18 fielded-panel
doors with H-L hinges on ground floor. Apparently also has open hearth with bread
oven and small wall cupboard to its right in the left-hand room.
