Pair of houses, originally one house. C17 or earlier, extended in C18 with C20 rear
additions. Rendered rubble walls, gable ended slate roof. 3 rendered rubble rear
lateral stacks, the left-hand 2 project more.
Originally 3 room and through-passage plan, lower end to right, with rear lateral
stack to hall and inner room room and newel stairs in projection at rear of
hall/inner room. Extended in C18 by one heated room at lower end. Divided into 2
houses either at this stage or in C19. C20 addition at rear of right-hand end.
2 storeys. Willow Dene to left, Willow Grove to right, both have regular 3 window
front of circa early C20 casements with glazing bars and central C20 gabled glazed
porch. C19 panelled door to Willow Grove, C20 part glazed door to Willow Dene. At
rear is rounded stair projection to right of centre, C20 wing to left.
Interior of Willow Dene only accessible; right-hand, former inner room, has
chamfered unstopped cross beam.
