Cottage, designed as a game keeper's cottage on the Powderham Estate. Early C19,
later addition at right end. Red sandstone; thatched roof, gabled at ends, axial
stack: red brick addition with a red pantile roof.
Plan: 2 room plan cottage with a small single-storey addition at the right end.
Exterior: The front elevation is blind apart from a C19 plank and cover strip front
door with a thatched porch on posts. The left return has a canted bay window to the
ground floor with 2-light casements and a 2-light first floor casement; similar
casements to the rear.
Interior: Plain.
An isolated cottage with a striking profile seen from the road between Exminster and
Kenton.
