Cottage. Probably late C18/early C19 with C20 interior modernisation and rear left
extension. Colourwashed and rendered with an asbestos slate roof, the large
projecting stack at the left end is part of Claybrook (q.v.).
Plan: L plan, the main block now consisting of 1 large room with an entrance at the
right end.
Exterior: 2 storeys. Asymmetrical 2 window front with a drip ledge at first floor
level ; C20 front door to right, 2 first floor 16-pane early C19 sashes to centre and
right, one similar window to ground floor centre and a C20 sash to ground floor left.
Interior: Modernised.
A circa early C20 photograph in the possession of the owner shows the cottage blind
to left of centre.
One of a row of cottages opposite Church House and part of a group at the north-west
end of the village.
