east of Old Rectory

Garden walls to the garden north-east of the Old Rectory (qv). 1819, built for the
Reverend Carrington, Rector, who also remodelled the Rectory (datestone with
initials RPC). Stone rubble with granite capping.
Tall stone walls to walled garden, the south-east wall reduced in height. Gothic
style arched doorway into garden on south-west side with datestone above.
The Reverend Carrington, Rector of Bridford 1815-42, wrote "Parochiales Bridfordii"
in MS, this includes a reference to building the walled garden.
Group value with Old Rectory.
