Probably C18 with later alterations. 2 storeys rough cast (1 storey at
east end to road due to sloping site). Thatched roof. 4 window front
to sea with 3 storeyed canted bays, sashes, some with glazing bars intact.
Good trellis porch, tent roof with fretwork of trefoil and fleur-de-lis
^pattern. The front to road has sash windows in moulded frames with glaz-
ing bars intact. Recessed door of 4 panels, 2 glazed. The house forms
part of a group, between the cliff edge end Peak Hill Road at the west
end of the Esplanade, that is one of Sidmouth's most characteristic features.
