House. C17 and possibly earlier, with later alterations. Cob, stone plinth,
rendered under wheat reed thatched roof, half-hipped to right-hand end, gabled-
end to left. Probably a 3-room, cross-passage plan, with an axial stack backing
on to passage and a lower-end left-hand stack, both with brick shaft. 2 storeys.
Front: 4 window range; windows at first floor level all under eyebrow eaves, the
two to the left of 3 lights with glazing bars; those to the right of 2 lights,
one large pane to each light. 2-light barred window to left of open timber work
porch with concrete tiled roof, and two 2-light windows to right, unbarred.
Casements all timber; C19 and C20, but the 3 light window over the porch could
be C17. A cross beam with studs (no infilling) visible in left-hand room; 2
chamfered axial beams in right. This house could retain an early roof.
