Farmhouse. Circa early C16 hall house with floor inserted. Roughcast stone
rubble. Thatched roof with half hipped and gabled ends. Later wing to left hand
(south-west) with lower thatched roof with half hipped end. Two storeys. Five
window range. Two, three and four light ovolo moulded stone mullion windows with
hood moulds and leaded panes. Left hand doorway to cross passage in slight
projection with modern Tudor style window inserted to side. Stone ridge and end
chimney stacks. Later stone rubble outshut at rear with tiled roof.
Interior: Jointed cruck trusses with smoke-blackening. Cross passage with timber
frame screen. Central stack with cambered bressummer to fireplace. Another open
fireplace at lower end with chamfered bressummer carried over to form round arch of
opening at side. Plank and muntin screen around staircase. Stopped chamfer ceiling
beams.
