House. c1840 with C17 core. Roughcast stone with slate roofs. 2 storeys,
5 bays; the 1st 2 bays are recessed and lower. Wide modillioned eaves with
moulded gutters. 1st 2 bays have small windows, one has small-paned fixed
glazing with opening light, the others are sashed with vertical glazing bars and
horns; other 3 bays have sashed windows, those to 1st floor with vertical
glazing bars and horns. Entrance to 4th bay has timber porch, with Tudor arch
and pediment, inner entrance has chamfered reveals and embattled lintel.
3 gable-end stacks. Left return has two 2-light single-chamfered-mullioned
windows with labels to attic. Rear has stair bay breaking forward with round-
headed window with small-paned glazing; round-headed window to left also has
small-paned glazing. Gabled bay breaks forward with later gabled wing which has
small lean-to outshut to left and 3-bay lean-to outshut to right, which has
sashed windows with glazing bars. Interior has food cupboard with
diaper-pattern ventilation holes; fireplace with embattled lintel, winding stair
and part of stair with square newels and turned balusters; 6-panel door with
moulded rail and wide-boarded door.
