SY 18 NE BRANSCOMBE

7/8 Granary approximately 5 metres
north of Edge Barton Manor

Granary. Late C18 - early C19. Local stone rubble ; thatch roof. Small single
storey rectangular granary built down the hillslope on a north-south axis. It
includes a doorway in the uphill end of the west side has a large window/loading
hatch each side and another in the south end, all are shuttered. Roof is hipped
each end and carried on roughly-finished A-frame trusses with spiked lap-jointed
collars and X-apexes.
