GV. II
Outbuilding, former stable, granary and cowhouse. Datestone 1865
to stable and granary on left; cowhouse to right. Coursed
slatestone rubble; gabled slate roof, with corrugated iron to
right. 2-storey stable with first-floor granary to left:
tympanum arches above timber lintels over C20 plank doors with
C19 strap hinges; timber lintels over 2 iron-barred windows set
in heavy pegged frames on first floor; stone steps to C19 plank
loft door with cathole in left gable end. Cowhouse to right has
similar barred window over round-arched doorway to centre flanked
by timber lintels over half-blocked door to left and C20 double
doors to right; timber lintel over half-blocked double entry to
extreme right. Interior: cowhouse has 6-bay A-frame roof with
ridge purlin set in crossed apexes. Included for group value.
