Welcombe Barton

Barn. Probably C18. Local slate rubble, part of the upper sections of the west
front wall is cob. Reg slate roof at 2 levels with gabled ends. Plan: Long
rectangular barn in two sections, the 2 cart entrances on the east side away from
the house. Exterior: The west front facing the house has 2 small doorways, one
to left and the other to right of centre, both with slated canopies on wooden
cantilevers. The rear east elevation away from the house has 2 large cart entrances
with timber lintels. Interior: Principal rafter roof with collars lapped to
the face of the straight principals.
