Small house. Mid C17. Rendered cob walls. Thatch roof gabled to left end hipped
to right. Axial brick stack.
Plan: 3-room plan with baffle entry in front of axial stack with back to back
fireplaces to left-hand and central rooms. Unheated right-hand room probably for
service purposes.
Exterior: 2 storeys. Asymmetrical 3-window front of C20 small-paned 2 and 3-light
casements. C20 plank door to right of centre.
Interior: ceiling beam in left-hand room and wooden fireplace lintels in both rooms
are chamfered with jewel stops. Probably original roof trusses survive consisting
of substantial straight principals with trenched purlins.
