Mid C19 building erected on or near the site of the "Great House" the C16 town house
of the Glanvilles. At the left hand end of the front is a granite 4-centred archway
with carved spandrels, most of which appears to be original and which stands in the
position of the ancient gatehouse. The building otherwise is Mid C19. Three storeys
stone rubble. Slate roof with crenellated parapet. Four mullioned and transomed
windows. Off-centre Victorian granite, 4-centred arch.
