Description

SX 68 NE CHAGFORD

3/91 Ash House approximately 8
- metres north-east of Yellands
Farmhouse
GV II

Ash house. Probably C19. Granite rubble with roughly dressed blocks around the
window and doorway. Circular ash house. Its conical roof is made up corbelled slabs
of granite and covered with turf. The ash window on the north-east side has never
contained a window-frame. Surprisingly the window is situated away from the
farmhouse. The doorway is on the south-east side. It once had an iron door.
