Description

HOLCOMBE ROGUS
ST 01 NW & ST 01 NE
4/91 & 5/91 Woodshed approximately 3 metres
- south-east of Ford Farmhouse
GV
II
Woodshed. C17, somewhat altered in the late C19 - early C20. Plastered stone,
rubble, corrugated iron over the original thatch roof.
Plan and exterior description: small single cell building facing the farmhouse to
the north-west. It is gable-ended with a doorway at the right end of the front and
window in the right end wall.
Interior: includes one side-pegged jointed cruck truss apparently in situ. The
small span argues against it being reset from elsewhere. The rest of the roof is
late C19 - early C20.
This is a very rare, a small ancillary farm building with part of its C17 roof
intact.
