House, now extended into former barn. Probably late C18-early C19, barn converted
circa 1960. Plastered cob on rubble footings; stone rubble or cob stacks topped
with C19 and C20 brick; thatch roof. 2-room plan house facing south-south-east
(say south) with end stacks (that to right or east is projecting) and central
entrance lobby and rear stairs. Set back from the front on the left (western)
side is a short block connecting the main house to the former barn, now in
domestic use, and serving as a crosswing projecting forward. 2 storeys. Main
house has symmetrical 3-window front of C20 casements with glazing bars. Central
doorway now contains C20 door behind C20 porch with hipped, thatch-roofed roof.
Roof is hipped each end and rear wall is blind. The connecting bay and former
barn have circa 1960 casements without glazing bars and roof is half-hipped to
front. INTERIOR has no exposed carpentry detail. The left room has a stone fire-
place with plain oak lintel. Roof not inspected.
