- Office approx 10 metres south-
east of Bidwell Barton Farmhouse
GV II
Garden railings and Factor's cottage. Mid-C19. Cast iron railings on brick and
rubble footings; office of cob and stone with some C20 brick, slate roof. Double
gates to railings for front door and small gate at left end. Steps down to right
and adjoins factor's office. Railings set in iron coping, spear tops, middle bar
and alternative half-railings. Round-topped gate-piers with ascanthus motifs.
Factor's office over store to left. Monopitch roof. External stone steps to first
floor and reused, oak, flat-arched door. Other late C16-early C17 moulded beams
used in floor. Included for group value.
