Barn and Animal House approx 40 metres east of Hayne Barton Farmhouse

Barn and animal house (latterly a piggery). Mid-late C19, shell of barn is
earlier. Cob on stone footings with slate roofs. Faces farmyard to west. Barn to
right; long, 2-storey animal house adjoining to north. Barn walls rise higher and
roof is hipped each end. Front is much rebuilt with late C19 brick over stone
rubble. 3 large doors to higher floor for loading from carts (the outer 2 are
secondary). First floor has single loading bay. Barn now open from floor to 10-
bay, king-post roof. Cob walls indicate that parts of barn earlier. Animal house
to left with roof hipped at left end. 2 large doors and 3 windows (unglazed
mullioned windows with vertical iron bars) to ground floor. Right door to 2-bay
room isolated from rest by cob wall. Two loading bays to first floor. Component
of planned, single-phase farmyard. Included for group value.
