Glaze Brook Bridge

II

Road-bridge over stream (Glaze Brook). Circa mid C19. Granite ashlar with rusticated granite segmental arch. String course. Parapet curved outwards over the abutments with chamfered coping. There has been a bridge here since the early Middle Ages. The present bridge is different from that described by James Green in early C19 and it is assumed that this bridge must be of circa mid C19 date.
