Front garden area
walls and gate piers
immediately ENE of
Court Barton

GV II

Front garden area walls and gate piers. Probably early C18 and contemporary
with the remodelling of Court Barton (qv). Local stone rubble, without
coping. Built around 3 sides of a rectangular front garden with a pedestrian
gateway at the centre of the front with square on plan gate-piers with granite
caps and ball finails. The wall acts as a retaining wall for the adjacent
farmyard to the north and churchyard to the north east which both have higher
ground level than the front garden of Court Barton.
