1/41 Carden Arms

II

Inn, mid C18, with alterations and additions. Pebbledashed with
rendered plinth. Steeply pitched slate roof with projecting eaves and
tile ridge. 3 chimneys, central and on gables, are of brick, as is
righthand side gable parapet. 2 storey in two 2-bay blocks; lefthand
side slightly projecting; north bay has added ground floor canted bay.
Stone cills and heads. Slightly recessed sashes, flush sash to rear,
all with glazing bars. Flush casements in north wall and rear.
Interior: Moulded beams in bar, over fireplace (north block). First
floor has blocked windows (south wall, north block).
