Originally a C17 farmhouse, Nos 2 and 3 a rebuild or extension as cottages
early C19. No 1 is of 2-storeys, coursed gritstone. Gable end to road, stone
slate roof with saddlestones, the rear one finialed. First floor former
4 light, now 2 light chamfered mullion window with drip mould and 3 light
windows on ground floor with single window to right hand, all with splayed
reveals, Common drip mould to ground floor. East side has similar first
floor window and 4 centred arched moulded jamb doorway with date plaque under
drip mould inscribed T I M 1624. Splayed reveal window to left under drip
mould; the mullion out away. Nos 2 and 3 are of 2-storeys sandstone "brick",
stone slate roofs, corniced chimneys, 2 light square mullion windows. Plain
squared jamb doorways.
