15 m to west of Erringden

GV II

Cottage, cartsheds or cattle shades and cowhouse. Early C19. Hammer-dressed
stone, stone slate roof. 2-storey single-cell cottage has 2-light flat faced
mullioned window next to doorway with tie-stones. Over is smaller 2-light
window. Quoined angles. Right hand return wall has 2-light window to each
floor. Rear has single light window to 1st floor. Attached to left hand end is
single storey range with 7 basket arches carried on double skewbacks, each pair
resting on a monolithic pillar. Only 2 are now open. These once formed a
cattle shade. This range curves slightly. Attached is cowhouse which has 2
doorways with tie-stones and 2-light flat faced mullioned window set between.
Asbestos roof to this range.
