SX 35 NW MORVAL HESSENFORD

5/52 Cottage 5m to north east of Bickham

2 cottages now 1. Probably mid C18. Stone rubble with asbestos slate roof with
gable ends and rendered stone rubble chimney stacks on gable ends. Originally 2
mirror-image 1-room cottages with entrance to stair halls near centre of elevation
and now single cottage with entrance to right of centre. Outshut on left-hand gable
end.
2 storeys regular 2-window front with C19 fenestration. Ground floor with two 2-
light casements with glazing bars below timber lintels. Blocked entrance to left of
centre and entrance to right of centre below chamfered timber lintel with straight-
cut stops; C20 plank door with slate lean-to hood. First floor with two 2-light
casements with glazing bars. C19 stone rubble lean-to outshut set back on left-hand
gable end with plank door and casement above.
Interior not inspected.
