Statue, 1912 by E Lanteri. Bronze, on polished granite plinth. Life
size; luxuriant beard and moustache; stick in right hand, papers
behind back in left hand; long heavy overcoat; wide floppy brim of hat
pulled down over eyes. Formidable but withdrawn, an unusually
explicit and powerful interpretation of character.

Inscribed LUDWIG MOND FRS LLD BORN MARCH 7TH 1839 DIED DECEMBER 11
1909: ED LANTERI 1912.

Placed on forecourt of ICI Research Laboratory symmetrically with
statue of Sir John Brunner (q.v.).
