AA telephone box. c1930. Painted softwood siding, zinc roofing. Square box
with tongued-and-grooved vertical painted boarding to 3 sides, and flush door
to front, beneath a weathering fillet, above which a low gable to each face with
painted board facing cross-gabled roof crowned by small ventilating finial.
The whole set to low raised concrete base within a curbed area on 3 sides the
fourth being back of pavement edge. On 3 faces a yellow plastic AA sign and
on the west side a cast iron plate with raised lettering "AA Box No 456". East
side formerly had similar plate. Box lies near the crossing with the B3180 and
c90m East of Half Way Inn.

This building was previously listed in the parish of Woodbury.
