II
Farmhouse, circa late C18. Front possibly remodelled in early C19. Rubble stone
and cob. Slate hung in diminishing courses at front with lozenge pattern each side
of each first-floor window. Half-hipped cement-washed scantle slate roof with
brick chimney in hipped ends. 2 rooms deep with wide central hallway, cross
passage and staircase to right. 2 rooms wide. 2 storeys and cellar. Symmetrical
3 window front with 2 ground floor 12-pane sashes (without horns) and 3 above.
Central wide C18 door, panelled over. Interior with intact late C18 joinery.
Panelled shutters, moulded dado cornices to reception room on right, carved timber
surround to blocked fireplace in room to rear on left. All doorcases moulded with
C18 2 panelled doors with HL hinges on ground floor. Roof timbers replaced.
