7/9 Lower Chellow Farmhouse and front
- garden walls, gate piers and gate

Farmhouse, front garden walls, gate piers and gate. Circa early C19. Dressed
coursed granite with granite dressings to front, otherwise rubble. Slurried scantle
slate roofs with brick chimneys over the gable ends.
Plan: shallow double-depth plan with 2 rooms at the front. Larger, probably kitchen,
right, and parlour, left, with cross passage between leading to stair and shallow
rear service rooms. Behind the left hand side of the house is a jingle storey back
kitchen or wash house built at right angles and behind the right-hand side is a lean-
to pantry.
Exterior: 2 storeys. Nearly symmetrical 3 window south front with doorway slightly
left of middle. C19 4-panel door. Circa early C20 glazed porch in front of doorway.
Original 16-pane hornless sashes to first floor and circa late C19 4-pane horned
sashes to ground floor.
Interior: not inspected.
Garden wall at the front is a regularly coursed rubble and earth 'Cornish hedge' with
roughly-hewn granite monolithic gate piers and C19 wrought iron gate with twisted
bars.
