Mill, in use for milling animal feeds. Circa mid C19. Stone rubble walls with
brick dressings. Hipped slate roof.
Plan: L-shaped plan with wing projecting from left-hand end and mill wheels against
right-hand end wall. Lower later C19 addition in front of left-hand end and C20
additions to right.
Exterior: 4 storeys. L-shaped front with blocked window openings on inner face of
wing to left and 2 window front to right, some of the windows blocked. Right-hand
side also 2 window facade. The window openings all have segmental brick arches and
the original overlapping paned 2-light windows. At the top of the front is an over-
hanging corrugated iron hoist house. Later lower range at front of left-hand end
and C20 corrugated iron sheds built in front of right-hand range. The 2 overshot
wheels each drive 2 pairs.
Interior: the mill is in full working order with all its machinery intact.
