GV II
Cottage. Circa early-mid C18 with C19 and C20 extensions. Rendered rubble and cob
walls. Thatch roof, gabled to front range, hipped to rear wing. 2 gable end
stacks, left-hand one of brick, right-hand one projecting rendered rubble with brick
shaft.
Plan: 2-room plan with 1-room and stair wing behind left-hand room. Both front
rooms heated although the left-hand stack may be an insertion. Adjoining the rear
wing an outshut was added in tne C19. In the late C20 a 1-storey extension was
built beyond the rear wing.
Exterior: 2 storeys. Regular 2-window front of C20 2-light small-paned casements.
C20 leanto porch at right-hand end. At rear is hipped wing to right with 1 storey
extension in front of it and C19 outshut to left.
Interior inaccessible at time of survey but most original features appear to be
concealed.
