House, possibly of early C18 origin, refurbished in early-mid C19. Coursed
roughly-tooled sandstone, some herringbone tooling, part rendered; pantiled roof
with stone copings. 2 storeys, 2 fairly wide bays; openings changed. Right
4-panel door under gabled wood hood on brackets. Centre 20-pane window with
bottom sliding section and pintles for external shutters. Left small modern
fixed light. First floor right window similar to ground floor central but only
15.panes; 9-pane sash at left. Right end chimney. Right return blank but for
modern attic casement and 1 sash on each floor, the ground floor 9-pane and the
first floor C19 with frosted glass. Rear elevation 1 storey, due to slope of
hill: boarded door and right small pent outhouse with another boarded door.
