Small cottage, possibly converted from wash kitchen. C17 with late C19 or C20
addition. Right original bay has ground floor of large coursed rubble, brick
above with rendered gable end. Addition herringbone-tooled sandstone. Pantiled
roof with rendered stack. 1 storey, attic and basement, 1 bay in main part. On
street front a fixed light and a casement, both C20. Left end stack. Left
return has a late C19 Yorkshire sash and 2 late C19 sashes in attic. Band marks
top of stonework. Addition is canted round to left and has a small cellar door
at right, and a small modern casement to left. Modern wood extruded porch at
junction. Roof swept up at left side following line of cant. On extremely
narrow end a half-glazed Dutch door with tiny leaded casement above. Included
for group value.
