Row of 4 cottages. Second half C18, altered. Coursed squared
herringbone-tooled stone; pantile roof with stone coping and ridge;
stone stacks. 2 storeys, 4 bays. Openings at both front and back
have long lintels with raised keystones and the windows projecting
sills. Symmetrical front elevation. Plinth. Each cottage has
door on inner side (and so paired at centre), a window to each
floor on outer side, and a 2nd small, inserted lst-floor window.
Doors and most windows are C20, although there are three 8-pane
side-sliding sashes on 1st floor (to Nos. 1,2 and 3). Eaves band.
Block kneelers. Stack to outer end of each cottage. Single-storey
addition at left end and C20 lean-to at right end not of special
interest. Rear: on ground floor, long lintels over later back
doors and windows; three 12-pane side-sliding sashes. Four 9-pane
fixed windows to 1st floor.
