Detached stableblock. C16 and C19. Coursed squared and dressed
limestone, blue lias and brick, red tile roof. U-shaped plan with
extensions at rear. Main body brick with gabled limestone
extensions extending forwards right and left. Symmetrical facade
with central gabled entrance projecting forward slightly from
facade. Gabled wings projecting forwards either side. 1½ storeys.
Double doors to central double width entrance within moulded 4-
centred arched surround with stopped hood, pierced quatrefoils
upper right and left, string above. Two-light C19 hollow-chamfered
stone-mullioned window with stopped hood lighting gable above,
clock at apex of gable. Two and 3-light stone-mullioned windows.
Parallel ridged roof to main body. Brick dentils at eaves main
body. Flat gable end coping with moulded saddles and triangular
kneelers. Finial at apex of central gable. Early central doorway
possibly reused.
