II
Farmhouse, now house. Early C17, extended and altered late C18 and mid C20.
Part timber framed encased in painted brick, part painted brick, part
rendered and painted. Old tile gabled roof. L-plan of 2 x 2 framed bays
originally with extensions on north west to form irregular plan. 2 storeys.
Large chimneys on ridge and front roof slope to right of centre; other
chimneys at rear. Road front:- Painted plat band at first floor level,
boxed eaves. 2 bays. Sash windows with glazing bars, that on left ground
floor larger. North gable wall has timber frame exposed. Interior:- C17
chimney piece in drawing room, elaborately carved with fruit and foliage
ornament; moulded cornice.
