3/72 Dunnerdale Hall Farmhouse with
adjoining byres

House. Probably mid/late C18; later additions and alterations. Byre added
at each end in separate C19 builds. House lime-washed rubble on boulder
plinth. Byres coursed rubble with quoins. Graduated slate roof. 2 storeys.
House originally 3 bays, extended into single-bay former cart shed at later
date. Single-bay byres. Wing and outshuts to rear. House has studded plank
door under gabled slate canopy with sash to left and 2 casements to right;
former cart-shed entrance to far right now has plank door and small casement
inserted. 3 casements and a sash to 1st floor. Each byre has stone steps
up to plank hay-loft door. Rendered chimneys to original house. Beamed
interior with plank and muntin partition to 1st floor.
