attached hay-loft

GV II

House; dated 1840, with initials E.S., in porch pediment. Later additions and
alterations. Lime-washed rubble with quoins. Graduated slate roofs with stone
ridges. 2 storeys. Symmetrical 3-bay house has central door in pedimented
porch with moulded jambs; 16-pane sash in stone surround to either side on each
floor. Rendered end chimneys. Single-bay hay loft extension to west end;
entrance up steps at rear.
