House and shop. Probably C18, but possibly incorporating earlier fabric, refronted
in late C19. Brick facing to stone rubble facade, timber framing of light scantling
with brick infill to sides and rendered stone rubble and cob to rear range. Slate
roofs with gable ends.
Plan: front range incorporating shop of single large room altered in C20, with long
range at right angles to rear left side of 3 sections, each of single room plan, the
rear section forming a lofted outbuilding; separate side entrances to 2 rear
sections.
Exterior: 3 storeys. 2 window range. 4 paned sashes to upper storeys. Late C19
shop window occupies width of facade with plain fascia, large window to left and
smaller window to right, both canted with slender cast iron colonettes and C20 doors
to centre and at right end. Rear ranges on left side face cobbled carriageway. 12
paned sash above 16 paned sash to left of C20 3-light window above horizontal sliding
sash. Shallow porch and plank above to middle section and loft door over plank door
to left of window opening to rear section.
