Cemetery Chapel

II

Cemetery mortuary chapel. Dated 1866. Ashlar built in Early English/Decorated
style. Very steeply pitched bituminised slate roof. Single cell church with stone
bellcote over west gable end which has a rose window over an Early English style
west doorway. Three north and south lancets with trefoiled heads. Three-light east
window with trefoiled tracery. All the windows have dripmoulds with naturalistic
head stops. Corner and side buttresses with set offs. Date 1866 with initials MR
in trefoil panel over west doorway.
