Row of C18 cottages some with C20 shop windows. Brick, rendered. Dentilled eaves.
Pantile roof. 2 storeys. Total of nine 1st floor sash windows, 4 of which retain
glazing bars, namely those to the Building Society and Restaurant. The ground floors are
of little interest having been altered recently except for Secondhand Books which has
a square bay window with modillion cornice, a panelled door with oblong fanlight and
sash window and Flare Boutique which has one original sash window to the ground floor.
These cottages gain extra importance from their position within the square.
