CV II

House. Early C18, with earlier origins; later heightening and alterations.
Cruck-framed, cased in rendered sandstone; pantile roof; brick stacks.
2-cell, end passage plan. 1½-storey, 2-window front. 6-panel door under
heavy lintel to right. Disused C20 door to end left. C20 bow window with
glazing bars to left of centre. 2-light small-paned horizontal sliding sash
to right. Two 2-light small-paned horizontal sliding sashes to upper floor.
One centre stack to steeply-pitched roof. Interior: the feet of one pair of
crucks are visible in the end passage wall. This is said to be truncated
higher up. There is said to be a second pair of crucks in tile cross wall
between the 2 rooms.
