GV II
Farmbuildings, now premises of agricultural machinery contractor. Late C18.
Squared limestone on limestone rubble plinth with brick eaves course;
pantile roof. Long range of buildings, gable end to street, of l 1/2 storeys
and 6 bays. Segment-headed cart-arch of tooled voussoirs and slatted double
doors to centre right. 3 stable doors to left of arch and a fourth to end
right. Slatted window with divided light between end left doors, and
shuttered pitching windows to loft above. Rear: stable door to right of
centre and shuttered window to ground floor left of centre. Remaining
openings are shuttered pitching windows to the loft. All openings have
painted timber lintels, except the cart-arch. Included for group value.
