Nos 3 and 4 Yew Tree Cottages

2 cottages. C17 or early C18 in origin with raising of eaves level and
extension to right in C19. Whitewashed rubble to early section, whitewashed
brick to C19 sections, pantile roof. Direct entry. 2 storeys, 4 first-
floor windows. To no 4: board door flanked by casements, with blocked
doorway to right, all with channelled lintels. To no 3: board door with
cambered brick arch flanked by casements, that to left with keyed channelled
lintel, that to right beneath brick relieving arch. Projecting former eaves
course. First floor: 2-light Yorkshire sashes. End and ridge stacks.
Interior: evidence for former steeply pitched roof visible in left end
first-floor room. Original oak board doors with H-L hinges.
